Welcome to the opening of the Nature Wildlife and Pet Photography Forum. I hope that we will be able to provide an entirely unique, professional environment on the web. The purpose of this site is two fold.

The first is to provide a place for photographers to get away from all the hype about equipment and begin to put the focus back onto the individual and the event in itself. The forums here are designed to talk about photographic technique as well as the equipment necessary to do the job without becoming absorbed about 'which camera is better.' The internet is already filled with many great places to go learn about which camera system to get into.

The second goal of the forums here is to provide a truly professional environment for photographers who are trying to make a business out of Wildlife, Nature and Pet photography. I am hopeful that people will use them as a resource to make their business more profitable and to share information that will help others learn how to make their photography business economically satisfying.

The public forums are for anyone to peruse, but only registered users may post in them. If there is support from a group to add new forums that are related to our theme, please feel free to send me a message. I will gladly consider adding things as part of the development of this website. The professional forums are only viewable by registered users. If at some point the public forums and professional forums begin to grow in different directions, I may chose to split the website, however, my goal is to keep them together for the foreseeable future.

I am hopeful that people will come here and show off links to their work. While I do not encourage photographs be embedded in our posts, it is my hope that we will see posts filled with links to show off your pictures. I do not encourage the attachment of photographs directly into posts because of the overwhelming resources that they require.

Another important aspect of NWP's opening page will be vignettes about our photographers - i.e. people in our photographic community who have something special to share - either insights about a specific place or technique or about the business of animal and wildlife photography.
