I am hoping that Bosque del Apache, NWP, New Mexico is an acceptable subject for this National Park Forum.

I am visiting the Bosque next month and will be spending the First and Second of October at Birdwatchers RV Park right outside the NWP. I realize that waterfowl viewing will be better later in the month or in early November but, I am coinciding my trip with the wedding of my granddaughter and also the Albuquerque Balloon festival.

I am pretty well equipped with a 70-200mm f/4L IS lens and a 400mm f/4L as my long lenses as well as a Tokina 12-24mm f/4 ATX and a 24-70mm f/2.8L as my shorter glass.

I have several DSLR bodies, two tripods, a monopod and a Manfrotto Gimbal Head so I don't think I will be lacking much equipment wise. I have plenty of CF card memory and a notebook computer in my RV to which I will download my images.

Besides the fly-out in the morning and the fly-in in the evening and grab shots throughout the day; are there any other "must-get" shots?

I would be happy for any advice from persons who have photographed the Bosque del Apache. I have been there once, but that was about 40 years ago and my memory of the trip is somewhat rusty.
