I was looking forward to a fun morning of birdwatching/photography today. I packed all of my stuff, charged my batteries, cleared all of my CF cards, etc. I walked out side and it was raining! The weather lady had not mentioned anything about rain. So, I recheck weather.com, see that the rain will pass soon, get in the van, and I drove 10 miles to my favorite little park. I seea few butterflies and decide to get my camera set up. Turn on the camera and nothing happens.

Oh, yes, I charged the batteries... but I failed to pack them.
I was so frustrated. So, my photography was out the window, but I did see a new bird for my life list. At least that's something.

Anybody else do something ridiculous like that? All I can say is that I am glad I did not travel the 30 miles to my other favorite park only to find out I was sans batteries.
