Peggy Sue,
I'd be remiss if I didn't share some of the shots I actually took on Saturday. Sometimes you get lucky. It seems the harder I work, the luckier I get.
Here's a moving shot of the Toy Poodle that I shot previously on the Florida Circuit but could never quite get that pretty moving shot. Her owner is very nice and loves what I've gotten to date but I wanted a nice moving shot of her. I like this one.
And I like this one.
And I love this self-stacked shot.
It was raining pretty hard when I shot these and I was squeezing as much as I could out of ISO 800.
Then we moved to the Rottie ring to shoot a young boy that had just finished a week ago and was showing in Breed. He is owned by a lovely lady who owned one of our Annie daughters from her first litter. The boy won Best of Breed primarily because he's a nice mover. Here's one shot I like a lot.
And another showing his overall balance and structural integrity.
So I guess overall I got what I went to get. I'm still working on the Mastiff shots. That is a boy (280 lbs of him) that really doesn't want to show and it certainly is obvious in his body language. What a shame! I've always believed that if they don't enjoy showing, leave them home. Oh well . . .
Enjoy,
Jim
