I guess this is part of why I love photography. Having no talent in art, sculpture or music, I like to think that I can still participate in artistic interpretation of my surroundings through photography. There are just some images that you know when you're looking through the viewfinder and you release the shutter, that you've caught a good one. That was definitely the case with this environmental portrait of a mountain gorilla. Now old "Brown Eyes" has not only been a picture of the day at Imaging Resource, but it has now won second place for the month of March. It's nice when your belief in your work is echoed by others and as an added bonus I'm getting a new Canon photo printer which I guess I can use for small prints (my Epson 4800 handles everything else up to 16x20).
