Hey Everyone,

Chanthee and I spent a few days in Cambria, California, on our way up to Monterey. It was a very pleasant three days, and I hope to go back in February during the rut. At the time we went, most of the elephant seals who were on the beach were called "weaners" or "tweeners." Weaners are pups who's mothers have weaned them and abandoned them on the beach to return to the ocean. Older juveniles are often called "tweeners." There were only a couple of older large males, and only one really large guy. The rest of the larger adults do not return to the beach until December, when they return to the beach to fight for dominance.

Anyway, here are a few...

Cheers
James
