thanks for your comments. to respond to a couple of your comments, the image i submitted is VERY close to the image straight out of the camera. i definitely didn't do anything to the water. just some very basic darkroom adjustments & sharpening is all i had to do to the image in pp.

as far as rearranging the rocks - i leave that to God. but my personal opinion is that the big rock helped to anchor the image, & the rocks under the water in the image were part of the scene. i'd like to see some other comments on this issue - that's how we improve when we're choosing what to include or exclude in the composition.
