Hey Guys,

That is a great start. Thanks. I currently have 2 GB of RAM in my computer, and was looking to jump up to 6 or 8 as that seems to be the direction everything is going in.

LOL, there are always more questions....

(1) I understand that the new quad core AMD chips are allegedly better than the Intel chips (apparently they distribute the workload better than the Intel chips). Is this true? Dell seems to be committed to Intel chips. Roman, when you say 'good' monitor, what does that mean?

(2) I found this computer through Gateway. Thoughts?

(3) As for LCD monitors...
My wife has a samsung that we purchased a couple of years ago. It was allegedly one of the better monitors on the market at the time. However, I have NEVER gotten the highlights right with it. It just blows everything out, no matter how many times I try to calibrate it.

I know that LCD monitors have gotten better, but are they really ready to replace CRTs?

Thanks all!
James
