Hi everybody:
I have some new pics to share, from three photo shoots this weekend, and I look forward to comments on them. They should be up later today. And I have another question. How do you sign your work? I know portrait photographers used to physically sign the prints - is that still how you do it? And if so, what sort of pen do you use? If not (if you "sign" electronically" how do you do that?
There are a bunch of ways, but if you don't have a pen tablet, you can scan your signature and make a brush preset out of it. Write your signature nice and large & bold on a plain white piece of paper until you get it the way you like it. Scan it, clean it up and then use the magic wand to select the white area. Invert the selection and go Edit>create brush preset. It will then be scalable just like any brush and you can "stamp" it on any file.

A related question: how do you mark PROOF (looks like a watermark) on electronic pictu shoot . . .
Basically the same way, but here is a nice action that will help you create and apply a watermark: http://multiplechoicesphotography.blogspot.com/2007/11/as-promised-watermark-freebie-action.html You can apply the action with a signature too once you get the hang of it,

. . . how do you share your captures with the client? Sit with them at a computer? Email them proofs? Put together a hard copy portfolio of proofs for them to review? Edit the images and then present them as a contact sheet? (That's what I've been doing for the people who've volunteered pets for my portfolio. If that makes sense). . . .
I use galleries on my site for proofs, but if I have time at an event (and always for a private sitting) I do an initial review right after the shoot.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on these related topics!
Thanks!
