I'm also using an M10 and it handles my D200 & Sigma 100-300 (not a lighweight lens by any means) very well. I can highly recommend it for nature work. Mines on a Gitzo 1280 set of carbon fiber sticks and the combo is very light weight for the support it provides. I can take it everywhere. Here is a good link for info on Markins:
