Gettysburg is a really an awe inspiring place, isn't it? In addition to the bazillion monuments, the sense of history is amazing. Standing on the spot where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address, history came alive and filled me with the same sense of amazement as when I visited Independence Hall in Philadelphia. I think the last shot captures that feeling best. Were they doing reenactments while you were there? I was a week late when I visited.
