Every year tens of thousands of sandhills gather at Jasper-Pulaski Wildlife Area (in Indiana between Chicago and Indianapolis). For once I drove there ... about four hours ... leaving early enough to beat the sun. The fields were covered with birds ... big beautiful birds ... with an added bonus: a whooping crane! As the birds left the fields to forage for the day, more came in from the night roost ... so there was lots of traffic. Enough to fill eight gigabytes of storage! Here's one, with the Jobu mounted (which I wrote about elsewhere in these forums), Canon EOS-1D Mk. II, 1.4x TC, and 600/4. The low very early morning sun is a bit harsh!
