Hey Durwood,

Another very cool composition. May I ask what time of day these images are coming from?

The egret shots were taken almost at the same time. 11:45 AM
A most unfortu ... er ...rEGRETable time to deal with harsh coastal lighting, but there I was.

Should I have walked away? LOL ... not 800 miles from home ...
As you know the worst pictures are the ones you don't take.

Is that at the Outer Banks,NC?
Great shots. Great Egrets are more camera shy than this Snowy Egret I took near Avon in the Outer Banks,NC this summer.

Pea Island is between Nag's Head and Hatteras and lies at the convergence of the three largest East Coast migratory routes.
Last year at Pocosin Lakes just west of Manteo there were over 80,000 snow geese.

I'm from Virginia and the family and I usually go down to Avon,NC for two weeks each year. Avon is 8 miles north of Hatteras Light House. Those snowy Egret pics were taken near Frisco. I have kayaked around Pea Island on the Bay side. It's a great place. If you are there again try near the Orgeon inlet-many Pelicans/Egrets etc. and you can drive on the beach to get to many areas(if you have 4 wheel drive).
