I kind of know where you are coming from. I also got real close once to a wood duck and was thrilled to get colorful shots up close. I guess it depends on where we are in our photography and are abilities to shoot and the part of the world we live in. The closest I had ever gotten to a wood duck was looking at one in a magazine lol. I remember telling my wife if I was going to design and paint a duck this wood be it . Now I am looking for a mergenser they are even prettier. I think you have some very good shots of a pretty duck. I guess we can't all be Art Wolfe or Moose Peterson, keep them coming.
