Well, they are 9 weeks old and the first one to leave will go tomorrow -- Mr Red. So today, we put in a couple of tubs of water to help the puppies deal with the Florida heat and we discovered that they are the dreaded . . . WATER BABIES!
Yup, they love it. They drink it. They splash in it. They lay in it. They think it's the most fun you can have other than eating and pooping.
With them enjoying their time in the yard despite the heat, I decided to take a few pictures of the kids as kind of a last candid assortment. Hope you enjoy them.
First is what I call the Battle of the Titans -- Ms Yellow and Ms Pink discussing the mid-east situation with each taking sides.
Next is Mr Blue tentatively looking over the pool before jumping in.
Mr Lime seems to be the consummate Water Baby and he loves to just lay in the pool and enjoy the water.
Of course, he's not above creating some white water when the mood moves him.
Another Water Baby is Prof Plum showing that he's not quite sure about those wet feet.
And then looking cute posing for the camera.
Now, several of you have fallen in love with Ms Pink. So, in deference to your prejudices, here is a portrait of her as a Water Baby.
And posing with her football. Yes, she is indeed cute as a button.
Still haven't done the formal of these guys because the weather was so spotty today but I'll have to get it done tomorrow morning before Mr Red leaves the litter. I'll post it once it's done.
