Tony,
It's an intersting presentation. The colors are very nice. The motion of the flowers almost makes it look like distortion has been applied to the shot.
I find the different planes of the shot are really competing for my attention. It might be interesting to crop it somehow without the wonderful, unblurred BG, so the flowers and colors don't have to compete. Maybe they can stand alone.
I like your title "Wild- Flowers"!

thanks durwood. . . great idea!! Just for clarification, this shot is only PS'd for color, saturation, and a crop, no filters or blurring, it's the wind blowing the flowers which is why it was a challenge. I had to take about 180 shots and I think i got about 5-6 that I like.

I spent a couple hours shooting this kinda stuff, it was a bit of a challenge to get anything usable, and I think you have to like this style to like this photo, but I thought this would be a good place (good cross section of photographers) to ask for comments.
Go ahead and tell me what you think of it. . .
Tony,
I love it. I agree with Durwood that there are competing planes in this, but I don't see it as a problem but rather as adding a dynamic tension that makes the image very interesting. I have attempted the same type of shot whenever I hit a really windy day, but I have never had one succeed as well. I think having the motion in the forground competing with the stillness of the background adds a "surprise" to what would otherwise be a typical mountain landscape. Great idea and execution.

Wow, Tony, this is really different for you. Nice, taking a chance at a new way of viewing. You added some vibrance to the image. I prefer the verticle version. How would you feel about removing the red? Not sure what that is. I would have thought I would normally like the horizontal but with all the movement in the mountains, the flowers make me a bit sea sick! My eyes just do not know where to settle! Which do you prefer?
