I thought looking up the stairs at this fella would be a nice portrait. I'm torn on the crop though. This is full frame, but I'm considering going tighter. Once I figure that out, I'll fix the blown sky. Thoughts?

There are a few things that bother me about this one. Since you did not put this into the critique I will leave that alone and ask what process you used and if you have one that you like the way it turned out?

I almost did put it in the critique session, but that area moves a little slow sometimes. I'm not shy, so fire away.
Here is an alternate. . .
As for process, I burned the cherub's stomach a bit, and applied the "lovely and ethereal" action from the pioneering woman set. Burned the edges a little and that's it.

I thought you could take it. IMO, I have a problem with the curve of the dog showing me the butt and the front end at the same time. Combined with the the feet being cut off, it distorts the look of this pretty Dobbie. Don't get me wrong, I do not think it needs to be a stacked shot, but with body movement, I want to see what is moving the dog.

Thanks Peggysue,
I also wish he has swung his butt around the other way. There was no way we were going to "pose" this guy so when I saw him going up the stairs I just gave out a squeak that got him to look back. Of course, he chose to go down the hill rather than the stairs on the way back

Hey Jim,
Honestly, I did not see the things Julie mentioned until she mentioned them - then they hit me....LOL. I prefer the wider shot of the dobie to the more cropped one as his face looks a bit distorted to me - and I don't know why, it should not. When you say that there was no way you were going to pose him, what is that about? Just not cooperative?
