BIF-Crane Nose Hole

My first post. I just registered today.

I can't explain why but when I am shooting Turkey Vultures or Sandhills in flight I am always after the shot where I can see thru their hole in their nose.

Hello Roger. I'm sure James and some of the moderators will be by soon to officially welcome you. In the meantime, I wanted to say that these are some fine images.

I passed through your area a couple of years ago and had the pleasure of camping for a night at Heron Lake. Lovely spot. Unfortunately, we did not get to spend much time looking around, because as soon as we finished setting up the pop-up camper, we were visited by a tremendous summer thunderstorm.

We did spend some time the following morning watching what we concluded was an osprey fishing in the lake. keep meaning to get back up there.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Hi Jim, thanks for looking and for your nice comment. This last year we had 15 pair of nesting Osprey in our valley.

These photos were taken at Bosque Del Apache not here in Chama.
