Ok....this is totally out of context for me....I dont claim to be a B&W pro, but somthing motivated me to go old school with this and treat it more like an 1800's photo that was in the bottom of a box somwhere...that you found and scanned.

Not even sure I could replicate for you what I just did for this....lol. Just took that "sneezy stuffy headed why have I woken up on my living room floor???" medicine so I am in kind of a blurr.

What an amazing thread! To see a very basic image transformed into so many wonderful mutations is... well, amazing! I find it most interesting that a single base image could be so fully transformed as to capture entirely new and different perspectives and moods. What a challenge that is to oneself to view a single scene or setup and try and interpret it in different ways. I personally need to take George's and Roman's advice to heart more often, that is to go and shoot scenes from different perspectives and different times of day and seasons to experiment and try and find that perfect image. I might then surprise myself and find that like in this example of the barn, one scene could potentially offer a slew of 'perfect' images, each with their own mood and perspective.

Nice going guys!

PS: I also fully agree with Buddy's comments, though I would not have been able to express them nearly as spot-on myself. ((~;

This really is a very thought-provoking thread. I'm fascinated by the totally different interpretations and moods of each edit.

I don't know how the artist manages to finally decide which one is 'it'?

Fantastic edits, you guys! And a really cool spot too. I love the foggy morning scene - beautiful.

This is great - as the ideas progressed things just got better IMO. My personal favorite is the first b&w foggy scene where the roof of the shed is catching the light. It has a mystical quality to it that speaks to me - but my wife tells me I hear things anyway... LOL!
