My sis-in-law came in from Australia for a visit in October and wanted to see the state (Oregon). Since I had yet to take my wife to Crater Lake NP as well, it ended up being on of the many locations I drove them too.

This is the only shot that I came away with feeling ok about. The weather was great, but a forest fire nearby put so much haze in the sky that the lake didn't have its typical deep blue colors.

This is taken from one of main pull-offs on the southern end of the rim, looking towards The Phantom Ship.

Nope, the image is not HDR, its right out of the camera. This is one of the photos I have saved into my 'Pre-Photoshop' folder as I've been meaning to do some minor touch ups on it, along with a number of others.

I look forward to seeing the fully edited version then, as I really like this one out of camera.
