while me and my girlfriend were walking in the woods we came upon this dead animal and me being curious i started poking at it and when i turned it around some sort of idk what you would call it...flipper popped out and for the life of me i dont know what it is ive asked numerous people and they dont know either so if you could please help us I.D. this thing we would be very grateful. there are more images if you need more detail.

Oh it is deffintly real the reason why its poorly developed because i took it with my cell phone the time was at 2:20 pm on 4/27/09 in Cato NY the rest of the pictures were taken at the same time [image]  [/image] [image]  [/image] [image]  [/image]

This unknown animal was put in this cage so that other animals wouldn't get at it until we could figure out exactly what it was. When we first found it, it was just in the woods. As far as the "flipper" just being the scapula, that would make sense if the other end wasn't attached to this animal. We shook it to see if it was indeed attached by the other end, and it was, so that's why we are so curious about the "flipper." Some other people were saying that it looked like some sort of K9, but the rings on the tail, and the weid flipper threw us off. also the back feet do not look K9, The cause of death is unknown- there were no bite marks or attack marks on it, so we are not sure. We are going to take more pictures of it. [image]  [/image]

yea we took it this morning my girlfriend has a powershot A430 cannon and no the time is wrong thank you for asking if it was right we didnt relize it was off time/date, any ideas on what this thing is?

whaaat. thats how its attached its clearly shown in the pictures. if you want we can take a video of it its deffintly attached. we promise were not messing with you or anyone were just as stumped as you. i really dont know what it is. you can clearly see where it is attached to the body.
