PeggySue,
and it's one of the reasons my dogs are tolerated in a very closely-packed, gated, family community. There may be concerns about those "dangerous Rockwilders" but nobody can question their deterrent value. I've walked up to parked cars in the neighborhood when walking Rowdy and asked what the people were doing there. Several times, it was people looking for homes for sale. When they'd look at Rowdy, I'd explain that we have a Neighborhood Watch Program and Rowdy was the Neighborhood Watch Dog. They'd laugh and nod.

I try very hard not to position these guys as weapons but there is something comforting about walking into a potentially dangerous situation with a 135 lb. black and tan dog standing at your side.

Jim

Awesome. I've always wanted a Rottie, but I know that the breed probably isn't right for us yet.

Some friends of ours had a Rottie a while back that was the most gentle, well behaved dog I had ever met at the time. He left a great, positive impression on me as I'm sure Rowdy & Sundance do on everyone they meet.
