I like the idea of lumping people together. There has become A LOT of forum activity here, but it is isolated in a couple of forums.

I am re-considering a merge of the National Park Photographer and the Nature Photography forums.

I am also debating making changes with the General Forum. I had hoped the general forum would become a place for discussion of other things that were more casually related (no politics, please. LOL). However, it has really become the place to discuss gear related stuff. Oddly, most of the threads in this forum are really 'shop talk' stuff - i.e. tripods, workflow, etc.

I think the merging of National Parks and Nature makes sense. How about an "Equipment" forum and "General" forum? I think things are ok as they are for now except the merging of NP and Nature.

Fair enough. My goal out of all this is to just consolidate into the forums that people are using regularly. I am pretty excited with the way the forums have been coming alive, however, it seems to me that it just needs a bit of direction.

I discussed it again with Tony (Final Shot). I think we are going to hold off a bit on closing the National Parks Forum. Peak season is going to be coming up soon and it might be premature to close the forum.

I am excited about the summer. I am now doing a wedding in Jackson Hole at the end of September. It might be cool if we can build up a few there during the time.

Just wanted to let folks know that there is a new tab at the top of the NWP screen called 'Articles.' This contains all of our old articles that we have taken off of the front page.
