Just another one from my hike last week to Silver Falls. Winter Falls (1 of 10 falls in the park) was a bit difficult to get a proper perspective on.....finally found the perspective I wanted framed in the trees on the hike back.

Hope you enjoy:

Hey Roman,
What a beautiful waterfall. I love the shot, it is beautiful. I like the path leading up, a little story there. I keep looking to see what’s over the edge. I am trying to figure if that’s good or bad. It kind of leaves me wondering, but that’s not an unfamiliar feeling:) Was it a particularly misty day? The photo lacks a little contrast. I know you extended dynamic range techniques can lead to a lighter contrast at times, but this one almost looks noisy. But that could be fog.
BTW, is that a railing or the start of a staircase?

Thanks, Jeff

Their were clouds starting to pour over the ridge....the scene is exactly like what I recorded. Dont try to contrast up things beyone what was there....always shoot for accuracy.

The ledge near the edge is too close to shoot wide angle properly (I know...I tried it...resulting composition stunk...lol) I always stomp around my scene to find diffrent views....never content to settle for the normal shots.

The day was full of weather....clearing hail storm that turned into rain....was walking back and the rain let up just as I was approaching this scene on the hike back.

Hey Roman,

This is one of my favorite shots that you have presented so far. I like the super saturation of the greens. I am assuming that at that moment (I know the weather was changing) that it was overcast? Nice work!

Yep...you can see the fog/cloud beginning to pour over the top of the falls. Great diffused light....my preferance when taking falls shots.

Thanks James!!

What a great photo !

I like the light. To me it gentles it down and you look at the falls and soft greens.

Just bye the bye, did you chop the tree down, or was it a previous frustrated photographer ? (Very big grin.)
