How's the new pup doing Jim? I've seen a few posts of her antics on facebook but no new good photos.

She's doing great. I think we'll do her first "formal" photo session in a few days. Maybe weekend after next when I'm off.

For those that don't know, all preconceived notions of a name for her went out the window, so she's neither Tazzy nor Angel, but rather Gidget!

She's been awesome in the house and a great travel companion, even visiting the nursing home while I was in GA.

what a great way to introduce Gidget to Therapy Work! And I'm delighted with the reports of how your dad is doing. It's not easy -- I've been through it with mine -- but it sounds like he has both the will and the skill to recover fully. Congrats.

She was wonderful. It was like she just knew to be the calm puppy instead of the hyper puppy.

I heard from dad yesterday and he actually walked with no support other than two therapists next to him "just in case."

your dad is one tough guy. I'm not surprised given what I've learned about his son . As for Ms. Gidget, that ability to adapt her behavior to what is expected of her is really cool! That's what makes a Therapy Dog. I hope you'll consider certifying her. You'd both enjoy it. Rowdy and I had some of the best experiences of our lives doing Therapy.
