I think it is how we as photographers and artists see something when we are there. I see personality in Dude, especially the last one. I think that one is so sweet and puppyish. I would like to see a little more sculpted lighting to create a touch more story. I know it is a small area, but, I am sure you could figure out how to make the lighting a little more interesting.

I don't try and capture the breed's personality, but, more of the dog itself's personality. If I don't show what the owner feels is the dog's essence, they don't buy. I had a cocker show person in and they had EXACTLY the shot in their mind they wanted. I did get one of those, but, what the loved and spent money on, was photos of the dog dancing. It was spontaneous and really cute.

We all have what we believe is the right way. We all have to remember there are many "right" ways
