Exactly one month after she was given a week to live, Missy is gone. This after she was given "days" to live two years ago when she came to us.

Somewhere between 16 & 17 years old, Kidney Disease, Vestibular Syndrome, Pancreatitis, and Cancer. Yet, she wasn't going anywhere until she was ready. Today, she was.

Jim,
you know we understand how you feel. I think Missy was just waiting for Marion Louise so they could go to the Bridge together. These "animals" are so aware. They know when it's the right time to say goodbye. We humans are not always so acutely aware.

She loved and was loved in return. I don't know that there's more to say than that. I also don't know that there's more to life than that. We share your loss and your pain. Thank you for giving Missy such a good life.
