Nice composition.

thanks for the compliment.

That mountain is one day trip - up and back, in a single day. If you were in good shape you could do it in on a good july day and still have time make to town for happy hour . . . My lungs and legs are not what they once were, but given a couple months to prep, I could do it in a day.

I say that, cause it's really your lungs and feet that need to be in shape, the climb part is difficult but without healthy lungs and strong well worn feet, it dont matter if youre mr olympia, you aint going up that mountain on foot! Many people forget to get their feet in shape too. I mean they need to get toughend up so that they dont blister and take you out before you get done!

I'm half way up the other side of the vally, and it's just the same stuff only without the trees, just to take that photo. . .

Hey Tony,

Interesting composition with the antlers and the mountain ridges in the background. I have to see your back yard. Sigh.

Having said that, are you allowed to take the antlers or are they property of the State?

James

It all depends on where you’re at. Antlers are free for the taking unless otherwise restricted by state or federal rules. You have to do the research as each place; even within a state can restrict the removal of bones.

Just remember, if you’re in a national park, regardless of the state you’re in, you can NOT take anything natural from the park. . . Not even allowed to eat a glacier lilly, or huckleberry. . .
