Thanks for all the suggestions. It is very helpful to hear what others think. I am shooting the ducks and putting the horses away for more work. Sometimes it is just best to cut your losses and leave well enough alone.

Many thanks for the mention of the Painted Ponies book. I have tracked down two copies for sale used good condition, but they are in another State so I cannot look at it before purchase and price is $50 so still considering ordering sight-unseen. Always decisions.

I have some copies but I just looked up on ebay and though Amazon "buy it now" I have seen them for about $18.
They retail for $40 but I am sure you could get them for less.
Used ones may come up on Ebay.

I finally figured out the duck shot. the female is dabbling in the water, she's facing east, and quartered a little.
