well, it is good to see that we did not run you off, i'm glad to see you back. You have asked for a lot of time, i'll do my best to give you my thoughs, but it would be much more effective for you if you posted one or two at a time.
I looked over all the shots, the osprey and i think ID falls ID shots would not open.
In any event, here's my assesement not knowing what the purpose of the shots are. You said your "shooting for a magazine," are these the shot and if so, what's the purpose of the magazine and who is the audiance? This it important information for a criteque.
With that, I'll five you my thoughts.
First, ALL the shots need to be shot in warmer light. Pick early or late, or, maybe a different time of year (different sun angle).
Try to crop in the camera.
I think you need focus on the subject of the shot and shoot them and crop them to focus on that subject. I noticed in most of your shots that youre centering the subject and or there's too much waisted space. Cougar - center frame, statue bronzes - too much forground - concentrate on the subject.
You dont have to complicate things by adding more stuff to fill in the space, you just need to adjust your angles and or move to a different location.
I think the statue bronze statues shot needs to be taken in warm light, with a LOG shutter speed - try a polerizer, a tripd and a lower sun angle.
I think most of the shots are over processed. To much sharpending, or too much contrast or too much saturation. I wont go into detail on each shot as it would take me too much time to be fair. Poste fewer shots next time.
I think you should focus more on better light, and make sure you really know what your trying to show in the photo - for example, ID falls shot 4 is mostly a big bush on the left side of the shot, my initial thought was why is he taking a shot of a huge bush, why not move or change angles, or somthing. I think you should consider bringing a ladder or staning on top of a vehicle (be careful) in order to get some different angles. You may even have to get wet to get the agles you need to make those shots unique!
Good luck. . .
