Of course she really isn't. In fact it's the other way round. It's chick season again out at the San Diego wild animal
park again and this White-backed Pelican mother is letting her chick feed.



The White-breasted Cormorants were also the proud parents of a couple of fluffy chicks.

This is a great series - really all of them are pretty cool. The 2nd of the 3 is my favorite in the series.

Hey Guys,

This was a 'grab shot' that I had the opportunity to take while photographing the elephant seals. I have never seen anything like it. I know the light is a bit harsh, but I still really like this shot. I am still curious to know what that dark spot in the water was...sigh, just when I felt safe to go back in the water. :P

Nice Pelicans; I don't know what the dark spot is, but I suspect a Loch Ness monster, only without the Loch and without the Ness.
