I have one thing I do after every hiking trip that requires me to add a border and some text to a photo. That is the ONLY thing I use photoshop for. Everything else I do in Lightroom. I'll still be able to do that border and text in photoshop cs5.5 for a LONG time....
So my vote is to NOT go to a monthly subscription and let it go...

I am going to stick with CS6. The only problem is if I live long enough to get a new camera, Adobe Camera Raw may not support it and without a subscription ... I have started using Topaz Software's plugins and they work with Lightroom and also have a stand-alone module. Their noise software (DeNoise) is excellent. Take a look at their site and their webinars. If I need layers then CS6 will work fine or a I may look at Elements. I can't see paying Adobe 20 bucks month.
