Hey dave, I never said they were, i did however suggest that the moral high ground boycotts can be a slippery slope. Youre a nikon shooter, where was all your gear made, how about your computer hard drive and you monitor, or maybe your compact flash card?

The point is if a person is going to boycott an outfit because they dont like what it does, consider looking a little deeper and we then find that we live in a complex world and much of what we now enjoy, including our life style is at least in part a result of oppression and repressive nations. . .

Julie was doing the boycotting of LowePro and I just questioned if her facts were accurate which it turns out they weren't accurate.

Now, I'm not trying to start a fight with you, but not all military packs are made in the USA. I'm affiliated with a specialty tactical pack company (I'm a consultant and their photographer) and we also make rifle stocks. many of the packs are designed and sold to the US military special forces units as well as to local swat teams, the packs are stitched in china . . . .

If a pack is bought through local purchase, then you are correct. But if it is bought through normal military channels (GSA with a NSN#) then it has to be Berry Amendment compliant which require the packs to be made in the USA or a qualified country which the materials are American made and 50% of the buckles are American made.

You weren't fighting with me, just talking about something different.
