I've made 6 books with blurb, and while they are not as good some other processes, they are great for what youre looking for. You should also consider distribution if youre planning to sell copies of the book. Blurb is set up to handle sales and marketing if your going that route.

WHCC and others like them are new to this business, not that they are not good at it, but they are new comers and dont have the same knowledge or capacity as blurb, blurb IS in the book printing business whereas the others like whcc and bay photo are in the print business now making books.

I'd give blurb a run, the software is easy to use and simple to install.

A note, if youre doing black and white you need to processes your images YOURSELF before loading them, and you may want to consult the service to see how well their printers handle black and white, in the past BW has been a challenge for these boutique style print services. . .

If youre going to go with whcc, you might also try bay photo, i've been with bay photo for years and they are great to work with!
