the editor contacted me so I'm sure she had some questions about why the guy was giving her a low-rez image. The editor knows me, knows what I provide in terms of quality and has been so pleased with our working relationship that she's offered me a free ad in her next issue.
I explained to the guy that I
wanted him to use my images in advertising. But to do that, he needed to own a version of that image that was usable in advertising. And he needed to pay for it. And, once he apologized and pleaded ignorance (I've always believed you should have an IQ of at least 100 to own a Rottie) I gave him a good deal.
I also contacted the person who posted the images and she's removed them from the site. She was as stunned as I was that somebody would simply take them off of the site.
I guess I'm just amazed that people are so ethically challenged that they could possibly think that stealing images is OK. The more I learn about people; the more I like my dogs
