If you look at the bottom left you can see that this is burgundy. What color is the background?

BTW I love this shot too, there is always one "ham" in the bunch isn't there?

Sorry, sometimes I work my way backward in a thread cause I'm always playing catchup. I like this one the best. The first one posted is interesting but I think sometimes we can get carried away with overprocessing. I've not worked at all with raw yet so have no experience with it, just a general comment.

Diana, whos Ragdoll babies are those? They are real stunners. I used to show and breed Ragdolls until I could no longer cope with the heart ache.

Hi Marie, they are from Rock Creek Ragdolls. The Ragdolls seem to be especially popular out here at the SW region TICA shows. Although maybe they are all over the country. We did some on this red and some on royal blue. When I get everyone edited I'm going to make a slideshow with my favorites from this first show.

Yep, I knew Jane before she started breeding. She does have some lovely babies.
Yes, Ragdolls are a popular breed...not as popular as the Persian. Ragdolls typically are not shown in CFA as much because of the difficult time the breeders had gaining acceptance of the colorpoint and mitted patterns for championship. Ragdolls are my favorite breed! If I could have 10 of them I certainly would. Looking forward to the slideshow.

Hi Jim,
I like this version much better...but then again, I'm not the customer.

That little pup is darling.

Jim P,

Sorry if we kinda hijacked your thread. I tend to like the plain paper without the rendering better too.

Diana, I like your simple Christmas treatment. Not so sure about the lack of backlight, I'm almost losing the dark ear on the background...but that is just a nitpick.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing Preston. But its hard sometimes not to go off on a tangent isn't it when you get into these discussions?

Thanks, I've never liked "christmasy" props much but got the idea of just using a few balls from Julie (thanks Julie!). I tied those three together to help keep them on the table. I think what happened with the background flash was we got to shooting and I'd shot a bunch of those two cats before I realized it wasn't going off. It may have been batteries out, or we just forgot to turn it on, we were turning it off sometimes between shoots to save battery. I think overall those photos are on the dark side, they do look better when larger. I think I'm going to eventually go your route with a stand alone strobe for the background (I'll start another thread for that topic...).
