Scott, We had discussed Rimadyl but settled on the Deramaxx. Cas already has questionable liver values and the Rimadyl may work too good. See, Cas kept running to hard and injuring herself. The Rymadyl may do such a good job that she'd run harder and hurt herself wore. So the Deramaxx gave her some relief but some discomfort remains acting like a governor or reminder to slow down. She still NEVER sits still until bed time. She is slowing down finally, but for most people she is funny to watch. She even skratches herself standing up, you know where most dogs sit to use their hind leg to itch an ear for example.
Like this shot, she was commanded to lay down and STAY. See the posture, she is awaiting the release command:)
Ha ha, I thought your dog was named Deramaxx! She's lovely and it's remarkable she's still so energetic. Yep, I think Rimadyl might be too much for her since my 12 y.o. dobe, Chip, thinks he's about 5 and runs and plays with Abby.
For the animals,
