Try holding your palm up over the second shot cropping out the doe and tell me what you think............

Hey Laslo,

Thanks for posting. I also really like the fox shot. I see vey few of them, though I had the opportunity to photograph some babies a few years back (you can see them on the front page in the North American Wildlife section...a section that needs some MAJOR updating, LOL).

good job getting out and finding the wildlife. The fox shot is blury (out of focus) it looks like you focused on the grass and not the fox. What camera do you shoot? Can you put the focus on a different button and take it off the shutter?

What lens did you shoot them with?

Unfortunately I was off on the focus on the fox. I was shooting the Nikon 300 F4 at 1/1250 at F4, Camera was D70S and single focus center bracket. Yes it seems like the camera picked up the leaves in the back. I wonder if the high contrast might have contributued to the fcousing problem. My guess it was Op. error. I guess I will have to go out again to get another shot.
