I wouldn't mind living 4 hours from Yellowstone. Heck, I can't even get there in 4 hours by commercial airline.
Check out the National Elk Refuge in Jackson Hole and all of Grand Teton NP. You might find more wildlife in this area during the winter than in Yellowstone.
