The trees are an awesome site to behold, there are plenty of curves and switch backs that take you to Sequoia National Park. Many trees have a history of a lightening strike and being burned. As we were here one could also smell the smoke of distant fires.
Standing on the toes of one of the great Redwoods makes you seem very small.

Hi Nolad,

I have always wanted to go to Sequoia. The trees are so remarkable, and of course, you are right. Having the folks on the side of the tree gives a definite impression of scale.

James
