Dear friend of Glacier National Park:

Please try to attend one of the 1367 nationwide "Step it Up Rallies" for the
National Day for Climate Action, Saturday, April 14. Below are details about
the rallies in Kalispell and West Glacier. To learn more about this national

Event #1

FVCC Step It Up 2007: Save Glacier
Kalispell, MT

April 14, 2007 - 1:00PM to 03:00PM

Flathead Valley Community College, Kalispell

Event Description:
Line up for the photo will begin at 1:50 p.m. with the photo to be taken at
approximately 2 p.m. The photo will be taken in the campus arboretum with
Glacier National Park peaks in the background. Other activities planned
preceding and following the photo shoot include live music by Montana Marimba
Ensemble; guest speakers Steve Thompson, Glacier program manager of the National
Parks Conservation Association and Crown of the Continent project coordinator
and Lex Blood, retired FVCC geology and science instructor, co-founder of the
Glacier Institute and managing director of the Sustainability Fund; and
earth-friendly activities for kids. Food vendors including Amazing Crepes, Qdoba
and Coffee Traders will also be present.

Stepping Up in Glacier National Park
West Glacier, MT

April 14, 2007 01:00PM to 05:00PM
Event Description:
Step it Up Glacier

Theme: Our general theme is "Montanans Care". Montanans from all facets of life
will come together in West Glacier to show that global warming is an issue that
effects all of us regardless of age, economics, race or gender and solving the
climate change crisis can only happen if we all come together to demand that our
state and national leaders act immediately in the interest of all humanity.

Event details Where: The main event is scheduled to take place at the West
Glacier School in West Glacier, Montana. Following the scheduled performers,
participants will march from West Glacier School to Lake McDonald for a group
photo to be uploaded to the website.

Time: 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Activities: We will have booths set up for area eco-friendly businesses to talk
with participants about doing business in a responsible way. In addition to
business booths we have several featured musicians that have committed to
performing at the event. Musicians include:

Jack Gladstone: Blackfoot singer/songwriter/storyteller/lecturer
Jay DiPaola: Whitefish musician
Hillary O'Hare: Livingston musician
