If I remember right it was the extreme left side of the parking lot at Clingmans Dome in the Smoky Mountains.We spent several monthe there photographing and working, I really enjoyed it.

Nice nice composition.I stopped to think thru why
i liked it so much. I like the vertical way better then the horizontal next up. It gives you the three-d better with the foreground in it. The contrast is not only the color extremes, but the textural contrast is a huge part of what draws me in. Plus, the horizontal layering this shot, again contrasted and even focused by the vertical layout of the picture. The tree is leading you into this as well, and balanced by the position of the sun ( thirds?). On top of it, the whole right side is framed by the trees. Awesome awesome shot. Not to mention the perfect focus and exposure. A real winner.

Thanks Guys for the wonderful compliments.
I just wish they could control the Adelgig but that is killing all the evergreens in the Smokies.I shot this with enviroment damage in mind.
