As you know, I am not a brand junkie (I honestly don't think there is a large sensor camera made today that cannot get excellent results), however, I thought this article was pretty interesting. Nice to see Olympus doing so well. I have very sentimental feelings towards them as a company - particularly after all of the difficulties they have had in the last couple of years.

James:

Yes, it would appear that Olympus has gotten itself off the canvas with the release of the new OM-D E-M1. It was just edged out at the last minute by Sony's mirrorless full-frame A7R for Imaging Resources "Camera of the Year" award. However IR did tag the OM-D E-M1 as the "Best Professional Camera of the Year".

It appears Olympus is doing well with their new flagship model.

Hey Jim,

Thanks for posting this. As you know, I am an Olympus softy. They were my very first digital SLRs, going back to 1995. It is great to see them succeeding with their recent bodies. LOL, now if only they will come out with a true rangefinder (ala Leica).

James
