I've been photographing dog shows all year, but just last month thought I'd try photographing at a cat show! This image was taken with my Canon 135mm f/2.8 lens. What a beautiful cat!

Cat shows and dogs shows are 2 totally different things! The cats are only out of their cage in the ring for a short time - minute or so. The judge handles them while on the judging table, so it's difficult to get a photo without the judge and their hands being in the shot. I found that using a longer lens and just concentrating on portraits was the best way to approach things.
