Hey Everyone,

This is a shot that I took in Death Valley of a place called "Aguereberry Point." It was one of the most amazing sunsets I have had the opportunity to have in Death Valley. The composition was taken from a place a bit off from where I would typically shoot because we were busting hump to get up there quickly enough as it had been storming and the light broke out when we were not sure that we were going to get anything.

Hey Everyone,

Does this appear to be washed out when you see this on your side? I just checked it out on a different computer and it does not look like what it should....

It does James, and two of mine I posted the other day look washed out but don't when I pull up the files on my computer instead of the post frown

Whew! I'm so glad to see your follow-up. I was trying to figure a way to tactfully tell you that, as far as sunsets go, this one was pretty washed out.

What a relief. smile Any idea what caused it?

Jim

LOL. Jim, there is no need to be tactful. While I love the friendly feel of the forum and the fact that people are generally really nice, I think it is important to point out problems...particularly when they are uncharacteristic. I sent UBB an email about this....I don't know what is causing it.

Jim Poor suggested that I double check that the images are in srgb format...which I will. Oddly, when I look at the image on my ipad, it looks perfect.

I think that this should give a better view.
