I've been crazy busy this past week, but managed to get out to the Dwarf Pine Plains on Long Island, NY. It's a really unique landscape, though not very dramatic. It's subtle, but intriguing. I was driving out to Quogue with a friend of mine, and decided to take a bit of a detour to show her the place, as she had never been there. Lo and behold, there was a fairly large flock of Eastern Bluebirds. We were thrilled, got out our photo gear, and started shooting. Here are a few of what I captured. Enjoy!!
As always, cool shots! Blue birds are lots of fun. We saw our first up close in Yellowstone this year. My favorite is the last, but the first one is also very interesting.
Nice images, we love bluebirds and have put up numerous bluebird houses on our farm. The houses have encouraged them to nest here each year and their numbers are increasing.
