My photo in National Geographic Adventure - 04/19/06 04:53 PM

Folks,
If interested, pick up a copy of National Geographic Adventure for May and look on its last page. They published one of my photos there. It has already shipped to subscribers and should be available in retail later this week.

Thanks guys!
I sent NGA my portfolio a few months ago. Did not hear back for a while. All of a sudden I get a call from their NYC office telling me that they really liked my photos and would like to publish one in their There and Back section. Twenty four hours later they selected one of the shots and confirmed everything. It takes the entire last page and includes a little bit of text.

Most definitely!

BTW, I am working on my photography website as we speak. It should be online within a month. I am planning to include prints purchasing and other ecommerce capability. I'd love to get all your feedback once it is ready. Stay tuned!

Well done Misha - it will take longer to reach the shelves here but will watch for it. Also I'll be looking out for news of your new website: I think your pro-site on Flickr is great, so will be interested to see what you are doing.

That is just marvelous, Misha. This is going to be a silly question...how did you know to whom to send your portfolio to? Did you just open up the magazine cover, or did you find some other way of making a connection? I cannot wait to pick up my copy of NGA. I am very proud of you.

Hey Everyone,

I was out at lunch today and picked up the NG Adventure magazine. Low and behold, on page 112 (the very last page), is Misha's full page spread.

The photograph in the article looks similar to some that he posted in his article that he wrote for us last year (link below). The big exception is that it is even more impressive in print.

Wow that's cool Misha! I bet it's like a dream come true.
I'll check it out next time I'm in a magazine shop.

Thanks. For those of you who missed the magazine, here is the crude scan.
