iPad 2?

Has anyone purchased the iPad 2 and if so what feedback can you give. Also has anyone heard anything about how long the delay will be in filling orders? I ordered mine April 1 and I received the red leather smart cover I also ordered, but my iPad is supposedly being shipped the 25th.... I wouldn't be surprised if it was delayed. Pouting here!

No. I pretty much decided to skip the ipad 2. It looks great, don't get me wrong, but I have decided that the original ipad is still chugging along just fine. LOL, however, I do keep going back and forth on it.

My boss at work has been waiting for an ipad for weeks. She literally calls the local store every day (there are 3 of them in Manhattan) and has gotten nothing. She may be giving up and just purchasing an iphone 4.

PS the last I heard, I was hearing 3 week delays. Not sure if Preston et al has one or not.

No, I haven't gotten the iPad 2. I'm still in love with my first iPad. Will dump her when the iPad 3 comes out if it has enough great new features.

The iPad2s are shipping in 2-3 weeks right now from the Apple store. Getting them at Apple or Best Buy stores is hit and miss. Here in Leawood, a few people line up everyday waiting to see if shipments come in and are usually disappointed.

My experience with Apple is that if they say they will ship on April 25 then they ship it no later than that, unless there is a natural disaster. The Apple orders are all just in time manufacturing and the iPads ship directly from Foxconn in China.

I haven't yet, but now that I'm using Square regularly, I'm considering a 3G iPad. All the ones I bought were WiFi only initially.

If I can find an original 3G for a decent price, I'll probably still go for that over the iPad 2.

On a tangentially related note, I love the way you can add "items" - products, to the iPad version of Square's software!

I'm liking Square a lot. I couldn't get my session work into the Square POS item system though. I have gotten them to look at integrating with QuickSale which I LOVE. I'm not sure if I'm special or if they are doing this with everyone, but I'm getting a Square display and 50 free readers next week to give away to my breeder clients. Win - win.

I'm liking them too. I made "items" for all the packages I sold at BTCA Nationals, and that made things super easy.

I do wish for a "discount" feature in the app rather than figured in my head though.

I just sent in my request to raise the immediate deposit limit. I busted it several times over this week.

I also wrote and asked about an affiliate program. I could have sold a lot of the vendors on Square at nationals.

The discounts were the main problem i had with square...quicksale handles everything a lot better, more flexible, emails the receipts and gives me reports, so i don't mind just using square to charge.

I heard back from them this evening.

Discounts are on the way "someday." Affiliate program is a no go. They prefer I do their advertising for free.

My solution for now is to make items with pricing that includes the discounts.
