The stallion's owner actually entered this contest, (she asked me first very nice lady) and it won. They didn't say how many were entered just that there were a record number of entries this year.

Wow, great shot, and nice job dee dee, make sure you get yourself a few copies and frame one!

Once again, Dee Dee, you've created a masterful image. Very kinetic. Lots of energy. And from the looks of that shot angle, he was coming straight at you!!!

Congratulations. Beautiful work.

Thanks, I thought there were better shots of him in this shoot but this publication makes this look better than I thought. I won't mention the "shot that got away..." I will just have to relive that one in my head.

Thanks Tony! I was one of the few, I lost a portion of my back fence but that was all (and that was just from the wind storm the day before the bad flooding started). It really is devastation still throughout the county many places that flooded had never flooded before so people were really unprepared. I was totally cut off all directions within about 3-5 blocks max for days but by some miracle I must be a a bit of a little rise here and was spared.

Congratulations! I do not know how I missed this one - it is wonderful. Feels good to see your image on a cover! I hope there are many more coming your way.
A friend just got hit for the third time by this last strange set of tornados. I think this time she will move. Mother Nature sure has been showing us how to be humble. Hope you are drying out.

Thanks Peggy Sue! It still feels strange to me to see a photo instead of art, when I look at it I have a hard time connecting that I took it.

Have you had time to do any artwork lately?

Goodness, THREE tornados? What state is your friend in? (besides one of high anxiety!). I think I would move too. We need to count our blessings when we are spared these things.

Missouri got hit hard and all have hit her barns. No horses hurt but plenty of damage.

Thanks for asking- glass fusing, sculpture and painting! Loving it all but feel a huge learning curve with the glass. I now love Chihuly more and certainly could not live long enough to work in this medium like he does. So fun to combine all. A bronze pour in April - And then of course there is Photography!
Sort of the core to all of the work.

Congrats again on the cover and I understand how that does not feel quite like ownership. Still great to observe ones out of body experiences.
