Practicing our caroling

Practicing our caroling - 12/17/08 12:05 AM

Normally I don't take these kind of grab shots but I could not resist. Polar started her talking and Rich, my spouse joined in. The stitches from her surgery last week will come out this week. She is on the mend. Thanks Jim for you good thoughts. She is very dear to me.

I opted not for the TPLO as she is not a high energy dog and I don't think it is a conformation problem as much as an injury she sustained. I am even getting used to the Portuguese Water Dog rear end hair!

PeggySue,
glad she's doing better and the picture reminds me of my crew in the morning with the leader of the chorus -- Cassidy Ann -- taking her pack members through a couple of choruses of The Messiah. In 6-part harmony. No melody line.

Ironically, all of the kids from her last litter do the same thing every morning -- they howl. The owners have all reported back to us and they are not all equally pleased . I point out that they are emulating their mom. That doesn't seem to appease them much but at least they understand .

Good luck with the repair. Polar is a lovely girl and we all wish her a full and rapid recovery. In fact, Sundance thinks she's very pretty!!! How old is Polar? Just asking for Mr. Sundance .

Thanks Sundance! One of my best friends is a Rottie named Edge. We are both the same age of seven.
Hope Santa brings you all the goodies you want!

Those grab shots capture the moment and the memory. How many formals do you have of the incision and the shave after all? Cute shots.

What a beautiful dog! You are so lucky. Polar is young yet,so she should have many good years left. My dog used to squeal like a pig when people came to the house. She would run to everyone and greet them before she would settle down. She did this all her life until she became deaf at about 13. It was her signature. Take good care of Polar and Happy Holidays.

I thank all of you for the good thoughts. They must have worked since we had stitches out today and Polar has full range of motion and is ahead of schedule after ten days! This is the best present I could get.

My princess is being spoiled beyond belief, and loving it.
